Lucky Lewes. What an asset. Beautiful architecture that is modern but happily blends with the town by extensive use of flint. Excellent cinemas and a wide program of mainstream, classic and intelligent films. The dinning is OK but suffers from trying to be a bar, cafe and restaurant in a limited space. Always busy when I visit and hopefully is a commercial as well as an artistic success.
Absolutely fantastic cinema and also just a venue to socialise and hang out. Conveniently located right next to Lewes station, they offer a wide range of films from new releases to old classics. The screen itself is of medium size and modern, the seats are soft and clean. Overall this cinema is one of the best things to have happened in Lewes over recent years and considering the price you pay for tickets, there's absolutely no reason for you not to go.

Wonderful heritage at this theatre with great collection of performances from Lewes Theatre Youth Group and the Lewes Little Theatre teams. Great support and awesome opportunities to get involved with on stage and backstage roles.
Whilst this is officially an amateur theatre, there is nothing amateur at all about the performances I have seen there. They usually offer six plays a year which each run for a week, together with various one-off shows. Plays range from the well known Shakespeares and Ayckbourns to the little known and rarely performed. I would urge anyone in Lewes who hasn't been to come and visit this gem
